Switchable Smart Film at stylish glass-walled Hamstead home
We have installed our self-adhesive switchable film on three external glass walls at a stylish stone-cladded home in Hamstead, London.
The four sections of 0.8 x 2.4m film are installed on the inside of the glass, and reduce glare and light transmittance by around 30%, ensuring a more comfortable environment, and provide complete privacy at the flick of a switch.
The switchable film is powered by a 50V transformer connected to the mains, concealed in an adjacent cupboard, through the resident's existing HomeWorks automation system, and is controlled by our radio-frequency remote control kit. All electrical wires are sealed with neat cover trim for additional protection.
With a single button press, the residents can enjoy their sun-lit home in private, without glare from the sun using our stylish uncluttered solution.
Switchable smart film is fitted to the glass in the walk-in wardrobe. When the switchable smart film is switched off it becomes frosted providing complete privacy, while still passing 60% of the light through. When the switchable smart film is switched on, it becomes transparent.
This video shows how our switchable smart film is effective at eliminating the glare from the sun when the film is switched (off) from transparent to frosted.
