Sustainable London Boardroom offering Light, Space & Comfort
Teck Resources has its first European corporate office in an iconic building in central London overlooking the beautiful St James's Square. Its goal was to create a sustainable office offering light, space and comfort.
With our innovative self-adhesive switchable film seamlessly retro-fitted to existing internal windows and a door, Teck employees can press a button to switch instantly from an open-feel fully-lit boardroom to a private boardroom whilst maximising the light entering the room.
The switchable film in the new flexible meeting room is opaque when it is switched off and transparent when it is switched on. The film is powered by a 50V transformer connected to the mains and is controlled by our radio-frequency remote control kit. Following the supply of an A4 toughened demo kit and a site survey, we manufactured the film in various sizes (2 x 1.0m x 1.3m, 0.9m x 1.3m, 0.7m x 1.9m) for a perfect fit, and all electrical wires were sealed with neat cover trim.
With its contemporary copper-palette style and large LED screen, carpets manufactured from recycled fishing nets, and wall panels made from recycled woodchips and tree branches, Teck Resources has a sustainable home away from home to do business comfortably with the ESG, investor and bank communities in Europe.
